supplies for paper bag trees
- brown paper bags
- scissors
- hot glue gun and glue sticks ( white glue or glue sticks work well also)
- pencil
how to make a paper bag tree
- Using your scissors, cut along one side of the paper bag all the way to the bottom.
- Cut out the bottom rectangle of the bag
3. Unfold the paper bag.
4. Using the first side line as a guide, fold the paper bag like an accordian. There should be 8 folds in total
5. Draw the outline of a tree.
6. Using your scissors, cut out the tree along the drawn line
7. Press open your paper bag tree so that is laying flat like photo above. Using your glue of choice. Hot glue works wonders, glue along the sides of the trunk and the top of the tree. See lines above drawn on tree for placement of glue.
8. Fold the tree in half and press together. You may have to add a drop of glue to the inside of the top of the tree to hold the all the piece together.
9. Fold the tree flat and cut the bottom so that is is straight and even.
10. Unfold the tree.
