Here we are week 24 and waiting for the plants to grow. Getting close to being half way through the year!! Can you believe that! Most of the plants are in the ground now. I am still succession planting some sunflower, zinnia and didiscus seeds.

Growing in a hoophouse

Growing in a hoophouse is going to take a little time to learn. Yes things are protected from the elements and your growing season can be extended, but things get really hot in there, so air flow is important. If you do not have drip irrigation you have to make sure things get watered really well.

Artemisia

Artemisia ( western sage) was planted last fall. This will be used as foliage in bouquets. I am so pleased with how this is looking.

These little guys should be nice, tall snapdragons soon. They are looking really good. I have untangled and laid the drip irrigation. Feel so good to have that finished.

The peonies are blooming! I absolutely love these flowers. Peonies are perennials that come back every year and freely share their blooms with us. The plants may live longer than you! Some have been known to thrive for at least 100 years. So if you love them, plant them. It takes a few years for them to get established but you will be so thankful you did.
